Reality Check lll

If you are following my posts of the "lite" simple recipes, you no drought have discovered that I use the simplest available indigents and procedures possible.  I do this because the era we presently live in has elevated to faster is better.  Once in a while I don't agree that faster is better, so it just sometimes seems that the recipes are more complicated than they really are.

I use mostly ingredients that are readily available, even found at Wal*Mart.  Just keep in mind that if you follow the general idea of these type of recipes that weight loss and control will happen over time, it just requires a general change of habit,  BE INVENTIVE and create your own recipes that works for you and your family.

.Things I avoid:

Most fast foods
Foods high in Fats
Items loaded in sugars
Items that are high in sodium

On fast foods I'm sceptical as to what they say are the values of their creations.  When you get right down to it a vast majority of fast foods should be called Fat foods. A burger joint will say all beef burgers; Well there are a lot of different kinds of parts of beef such as fat, Grissel, hide and many other parts.  What would be nice would be extra lean beef burgers. I still indulge occasionally; but have them leave off the mayo, ketchup and their "Special" sauce.

  Foods high in fats are everywhere just read the labels if a serving has more than 4 grams of fat I avoid that product.

Anything that has sugar added such as ketchup, jams and jelly's, cereals, canned anything and bake goods, I avoid.  Now if any of the afore mentioned are high in fiber I will maybe re-consider Read the labels.

Another thing to watch-out for is the sodium content; you would not believe what manufactures will add sodium to such as most sodas.


.It's as simple as that. We do on a rare occasion enjoy some of these items, but by planning ahead, we will hedge on what ever we plan to have; an example if we plan on having something that is high in fats we reduce ahead of time our fat intake so that what ever we have is no big deal.
